Nodebots Day NYC 2016 is July 30th!

NodeBots Day is a world wide event where people learn how to control the physical world with JavaScript. We want you to leave with the satisfaction of making something awesome! Each event has experts on hand to help you build your project and start you on the path to building awesome devices. Overall, we're going to get together, collaborate, and hack. The focus of NodeBots Day is on sharing and enjoying each other's company and JavaScript. Lots of JavaScript.

This year we'll be concentrating on the Johnny Five Inventor's Kit (J5IK), which includes the Tessel 2. If you have your own hardware you can still follow along with our inventor's guide or make your own invention. We'll have volunteers on site to help you work though whatever challenges your projects present.

We've partnered with ScriptEd to help provide tickets to their students. ScriptEd equips students in under-resourced schools with the fundamental coding skills and professional experiences that together create access to careers in technology. And we can't think of a better way to do that then giving them a Kit and teaching them how to control the physical world. You can donate towards providing a ticket when you check out.

Lunch and space are being provided by Meetup.com, who thinks robots are awesome and can't wait to see what you make.

Get a Ticket and Make Something Awesome

Nodebots NYC is a meetup for hardware and javascript enthusiasts and hackers of all skill levels.

We run monthly workshops where you can get advice, show off what you're working on, help others, and play with the latest and greatest hardware. Nodebots are by name robots powered by NodeJS and Javascript but often includes software in all languages. They're a great way to learn JavaScript and Hardware concepts. You can find out more at Nodebots.io

Johnny-Five is a great place to get started if you want to get familiar before an event.

So come join us and solve a problem, play with hardware or learn something new!
